BlueFly’s series of celebrity closet confessionals is like a fashion ice cream float – frothy, fun and a bit of a guilty pleasure. Staring agog at the possessions of others may not be anyone’s finest hour, but it sure is entertaining, particularly when the person possessing the items is someone with as many crocodile Birkins as Kimora Lee Simmons. BlueFly just posted a tour of one of her “satellite closets,” complete with enough handbags and shoes to clothe a small fashion army.

It has become clear that Kim has her sights on rivaling Victoria Beckham’s enormous Birkin collection, and with her latest dove gray addition to the family, she’s one bag closer. Of all the Birkins we’ve seen from Kim in the past (and they are numerous, believe me), this color is easily my favorite. Ultra light gray is an underutilized color, and the shade lends itself well to the precise lines of a Hermes bag. Kim is also wearing 7 for All Mankind Roxanne jeans and Christian Louboutin Jessica Knee-High Boots.

Oh Kelly. You might be buff with a hot husband and everything going your way but why would you do that do your Hermes’ Birkin bag and go out without a bra. One should not be looking at anything but your oddly empty fab handbag but apparently, you forgot to put your phone away or put on a bra.

This Birkin has been taken over with seemingly sharp studs; the kind of studs that will make you say ouch. And when you inspect the bag closely, they are not perfectly set apart, rather tried to be somewhat in pattern but it is a bit of a free-form design… Loving it

After 7 years, Jean Paul Gaultier is stepping down from his artistic director position at Hermes.

Hermes praised JPG for his work upon the announcement, saying they are “deeply grateful to Jean-Paul Gaultier for his outstanding creative contribution.”

With Gaultier now out, Lacoste creative director Christian Lemaire is set to take over.

It’s not that I don’t believe that Hermes would sell one to Courtney – after all, they’ve apparently sold several to Heidi Montag. I just didn’t take the punk-rock former stripper as the type to buy one, even in her ultra glam The People vs. Larry Flynt days. But hey, rock on, Courtney – you’ve always done whatever you felt like anyway, no reason to change that now.

Lady Gaga had neatly penned some Japanese characters on her pure white Hermes Birkin and her arm with a black marker.

According to the Daily Mail, it is the Japanese characters for “I love little monster,” as “little monsters” is what she calls her fans.

Many of you may gasp at the thought of defacing such an expensive handbag, but isn’t that the point? Lady Gaga loves to shock, and surprisingly in this day and age she manages to keep doing just that. Her kooky kind of artistic expression is just what the world needs more of!

Six words I never thought I’d ever say: I miss the old Heidi Montag! But despite her nips and tucks, the reality star at least hasn’t changed her taste in designer handbags. Montag stepped out with an off-white Hermes Birkin purse while meeting her “The Hills” co-stars for lunch. I hate to say it, but I love the look (from the neck down, of course). The bag is beautiful, and the white tee and khaki sailor shorts are a cute combo.

Victoria Beckham arrived in Milan this weekend looking ridiculously chic as usual. In her drapey sweater, skinniest-of-skinnies (from the Victoria Beckham Denim collection, natch) and killer heels, she’s unmatchable in the style department. Throw in the gorgeous Hermes Birkin, all glamorous and showstopping in burgundy crocodile, and the effect is stunning.
