Katie Holmes sure looked like she was feeling a bit chilly last Sunday! Accompanied by her hubby (Tom Cruise) and daughter (Suri), the 32 year old actress was enjoying a night out in New York City.  Her look for the evening was casual, yet chic carrying A lesser known style from the beloved designer, the Balenciaga Matelasse.

She’s always up for a good time, and on Friday evening (January 14) Emma Stone was spotted at the 16th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards.

The “Easy A” actress looked amazing in a classic Balenciaga silver dress.

Lauren Conrad was spotted arriving at LAX International Airport Wednesday (January 12).
Lauren looked to have her hands full as she chatted on the phone.  She is carrying a Chanel Jumbo Classic Flap Bag, Balenciaga Weekender Bag in Black and wearing J. Crew Aigle Dressage boots.

It must be a strange thing to be friends with Miley Cyrus. Sure, celebrities need friends too, and sometimes famous friends just create more drama, but how does one go about meeting Hannah Montana and gaining her friendship? Is the girl with her also famous (or almost famous) and I’m just not recognizing her?

Whatever the case, it looks as though Miley and her friend have similar handbag preferences. While Miley carries a grey Balenciaga Giant Pompon Bag with gold hardware, her friend opts for a black Balenciaga Giant Day Bag with silver. What’s perhaps the most interesting thing about these photos, though, doesn’t have to do with the bags or the identity of Miley’s pal – what’s going on with those cowboy boots? Do they feature some sort of rendering of a desert vista? Are they supposed to be ironic? I don’t know when a pair of boots has caused me so much confusion.

With all of the fancy hardware options for Balenciaga bags that have come out in the last few years (giant silver, giant gold, giant covered, rose gold, etc), it’s easy to forget about the style that started it all: “regular,” as it’s known to Balenciaga fans. How nice of Kim Kardashian, then, to remind us all of this subtler, more versatile option

You can’t go wrong with black jeans and a white tee. Or, for that matter, a large black Balenciaga Giant Pompon bag. Ashlee Simpson hit the town with the roomy drawstring tote and scored a look that’s low-key with just a dash of luxe. Sister Jessica would no doubt approve.

Now that’s a look. Vanessa Hudgens seems to have taken a page out of the Nicole Richie boho-chic playbook. Slouchy hat: Check. Vintage-looking outfit: Check. Balenciaga  Bag for a modern twist: Check. Next thing you know she’ll be toting Harlow Madden around too. But all’s fair in love and fashion, and there are plenty of Balenciagas (and retro wear) to go around!
